Review of the Week

We rented a home on the river in Bullhead City for the month of March. We drove 2300 miles from northern Michigan to get here and we have explored many places and visited every casino at least once. I am going to list our favorites and skip the negativity. Best casino for slots + tables is Aquarius. New games, tables all open and servers are quick with drinks. Video Poker, Harrah’s and the Riverside. Many casinos in Laughlin have cut down the pay tables on video poker so if that is your thing pay attention to it.

Best bingo is at the Edgewater. Looks to be a newly remodeled bingo hall with a small smoking section and online prices and prizes. Edgewater also has Pink Box Donuts which are not cheap but better than anything else we found.

Best overall restaurant, The Bighorn Cafe in the Laughlin River Lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. A full delicious breakfast plate can be had for the cost of breakfast at McDonalds. Honorable mention goes to Saltgrass Steakhouse in the Golden Nugget for dinner and The Ranch restaurant/bar at the Laughlin Ranch Golf Club which had the best burgers out of the 6 places we tried.

Best pizza was River Rick's inside the Pioneer.

Best offroad trip was to Christmas Tree Pass to see the petroglyphs in Grapevine canyon. Honorable mention goes to the Bunker Bar outside Lake Havasu City and of course Oatman.

Best Mexican food we had was at Orioles in Bullhead City. Best Italian food was at Meoni’s and best ribs were at Vito's.

Unfortunately, we tried 3 of the most recommended Chinese/Thia restaurants and cannot recommend any of them.

Best place to watch a band was at Cocktails on 95 between BHC and Ft. Mohave.

A money saving tip if you plan on visiting Saltgrass Steakhouse or Bubba Gump, Sams Club in Bullhead City has $100 gift cards for each location for $79.99 if you have a membership.

Sorry for the length but after almost 30 days of eating out, gambling, and site seeing I would like to thank all of you for the suggestions on what to see, where to eat, and the best gambling options in town. Till next time......

Bingo Room at the Edgewater

Congratulations to Myla Dombroske. The progressive Double Action Coverall at the Edgewater Bingo was growing for weeks. To win you have to hit it in 35 numbers or less and she won in 34 numbers for a big win of $74,728.
